With pickled red onions, "green sauce", queso fresco, avocado, and cilantro.

Drink: 2009 Tempranillo - Reddy Vineyards, Haak.  Pairs well with food having a little spice; needs food, too sweet to drink much alone


 


Chateau Montalena Dinner

After buying a delicious 2002 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon with Daniel and Johanna, we needed an appropriate meal to go along with it. 

The result: prime beef tenderloin topped with crispy oyster mushrooms and shallots, saluted green onions and roasted potato slices with wasabi, sweet pea, mascarpone puree.
